Leading: SoulCARE

SoulCARE is a nine-month retreat series focused on a cohort of 24 leaders each year.

We provide a place and process where leaders can deepen their life with God. Our process involves guided instruction through a curriculum we created specifically for pastors and leaders, time alone in prayer, community experiences, physical care through meals and relaxation, and individual spiritual direction designed to help cultivate spiritual rhythms that leaders can sustain over time. SoulCARE is offered with no cost to the participants as a metaphor for God’s love.

Our intent is to lovingly rejuvenate leaders and in doing so, transform the ways they lead their staffs, churches or organizations. We aim to positively impact leaders’ longevity and fruitfulness in ministry.

Listen to what others had to say…

  • In the midst of my deep thirst for renewal, the invitation to participate in SoulCARE has been a most excellent gift to me. There were many occasions where I felt like I was treated like a prince! But, more importantly, I was equipped with the perspectives and skills that helped me to learn to discern the voice of God who is always present with me.

Brad Wong, Lead Pastor at The River, San Jose
  • In forty years of ministry and in all my travels I have never observed a ministry that could gather 24+ pastors and leaders and create such a safe setting of extended time and place—that all barriers and agendas would drop and we could instead be vulnerable, broken Jesus people…love bonds were formed that will last a lifetime.

Brian Morgan, Teaching Pastor at Peninsula Bible Church Cupertino
  • I can attest to the unique asset of SoulCARE. Rather than assuming I was getting appropriate care for my soul to match the demand of my calling, SoulCARE took the initiative to shepherd me primarily by providing space and giving me new tools to interact with the Lord. I came out of the year-long cohort understanding more fully God’s love for me. I still refer back to my manual and journals and revel in the communion I experienced with God. I still meet monthly with a select group of pastors to experience the rhythms brought to us in SoulCARE. Given the unbelievable attrition rate for those in ministry, I can’t think of a better investment for people to make. At PCC, we have committed that all senior staff participate in SoulCARE.

Gary Gaddini, Senior Pastor at Peninsula Covenant Church
