Leading: SoulCARE Alumni Retreats

Pastor’s and ministry leaders who complete SoulCARE are invited to attend refresher retreats designed to help our alumni sustain rhythms and spiritual practices that nurture their life with God. Building on the concepts and practices developed during their retreat year, ministry leaders unite around their common longing for God and to support one another in ministering out of their connectedness with God.

Alumni retreats are hosted in partnership with a consortium of churches and ministries in the Bay Area who have participated in SoulCARE.

SoulCARE Alumni Retreat

April 20, 2018
Join the SoulCARE team and fellow Alums for a day of retreat and soul refreshment.

When Hagar–Abraham and Sarah’s servant and the mother of Abraham’s son, Ishmael–ran away from her difficult life, God came after her in the wilderness and met her by a spring. It was such a meaningful encounter that Hagar named the spring Beer Lahai Roi, which translates to “I have seen the God who sees me!” (Gen. 16:13-14) Many of us would say the same about our experiences as we met God at SoulCARE retreats. Interestingly, Hagar’s encounter may be the first time the Prayer of Examen is seen in the Scriptures because, in the place where Hagar feels seen by God, God asks her, “Where have you been? and Where are you going?”

As we gather for our retreat, we’ll invite God to ask us these same questions in light of where we are now.
