Ignatian Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life

Do you desire a deeper connection with Jesus Christ? Do you long for more integration of your Christian faith and everyday life? Consider participating in a small group moving through the Exercises from September 2010 to May 2011. The Exercises were developed over 500 years ago to draw people into friendship with Jesus. Wherever you are in your relationship with God, the primary intention of the Exercises is for you to know Jesus more intimately, love Him more deeply, and follow Him more closely.

What would participation require of me?

Participants commit to the daily prayer exercises, meet weekly for a mini-retreat with the other participants, and meet with your Group Facilitator/Spiritual Director nine times. As your group meets weekly, you will experience Jesus in each other and with each other.

When and where do we meet?

This group is open to both men and women and will meet at WellSpring, 1142 Crane Street, #4, Menlo Park. We will meet from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday mornings beginning September 21st. Limited enrollment. Cost: $375 per semester or $750 per year (includes 30 weeks of group and nine individual spiritual direction sessions).

Who is leading the Exercises?

Liz Lawhead is a trained and gifted Spiritual Director. She has led many groups through the Ignatian Exercises over the past few years both for WellSpring and her church, Vineyard Christian Fellowship of the Peninsula. Liz serves as a Trainer for Internship in Retreat Leadership at Mercy Center in Burlingame and a Supervisor for Spiritual Directors.
